Liz Shouldice took 3rd in Womens Kayak Event in Leg 5 of the Hydrotastralia Wild Water World Cup Series. The 7km classic course was perhaps the toughest course in decades as the last 2km comprised a Class 4 gorge with boulders strewn randomly across the river. The paddlers had only 2 days to learn this difficult section and it took a heavy toll on boats and several paddlers withdrew after suffering minor injuries. Liz said "I can't wait to come back and race here again. The hard training has paid off!" The final leg of the series takes place next Sat on Cataract Gorge in Launceston. The World Cup Final Sprint should provide the Irish with more opportunities for success. Click here for updates & results.....
