Adult Introductory Courses - 2012
Canoeing Ireland will be running a series of evening and weekend kayaking courses throughout the spring and summer months at its Training Centre which is located in the Strawberry Beds, Chapelizod.  

  Evening Courses
These courses are of introductory level and operate under the guidance of qualified Canoeing Ireland Instructors. Assessment for the Level 2 Kayak Skills Award is included at the end of each course. These courses consist of 5 evening sessions from 7:00 until 9:30 pm over 5 weeks. Course fee includes all technical equipment (i.e. kayaks, wetsuits, etc.).

Evening Courses
Block 1  - Consisting of 5 evening sessions, one evening per week over 5 weeks 

     Block 2- Consisting of 5 evening sessions, one evening per week over 5 weeks 

   Block 3 - Consisting of 5 evening sessions, one evening per week over 5 weeks 

   Block 4 - Consisting of 5 evening sessions, one evening per week over 5 weeks 

                                      Adult River Trips 2011
Canoeing Ireland will be continuing to run its programme of river trips throughout the Spring and Summer months from its Training Centre which is located in the Strawberry Beds, Chapelizod.

The river trips operate under the guidance of qualified Canoeing Ireland Instructors. The trips are an ideal follow-on to those who have completed an Introductory course and wish to progress their kayaking skills. Participants should be at Level 2 Kayak skills standard at a minimum.  These trips normally run from  10:00 until 4:00 pm . Fee is €40 and includes all technical equipment (i.e. kayaks, wetsuits, etc.). Further details are forwarded when a place is booked on a trip.                  

Youth Courses
Canoeing Ireland  organizes and runs a series of Level 1 and Level 2 Kayak Skills Training courses for young people (12 - 18 years old) throughout July and August at its Canoe Training Centre which is located in the Strawberry Beds, Chapelizod. All courses operate under the guidance of qualified Canoeing Ireland Instructors.                          >> Click  here for Application Form 

Introductory Courses
Level 1 Kayak Skills Course  These courses are suitable for those who want to try out the sport and aim to teach basic boat handling skills with a strong emphasis on fun . These courses comprise of three sessions over three mornings from 10.00 - 12.30  Assessment for Level 1 Kayak Skills Award is included on these courses. Course fee is €75     

Level 2 Kayak Skills Course These courses are suitable for those who wish to learn the basics of kayaking with the intention of progressing in the sport . They consist of five sessions over four days .  Courses are from 1.30 pm until 4:00 pm with a river trip on fourth day from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Assessment for the the Level 2 Kayak Skills syllabus is included on these courses.  The Course fee is €125
