Irish Water Safety:

National Water Safety Awareness Week will run from Monday June 20th to Sunday June 26th.

Canoeing Ireland are one of the Partners involved in www.safetyzone.ie which provides details of where you can get training for a range of aquatic activities nationwide including swimming, surfing, sailing, rowing, canoeing, kayaking, diving, boating, angling, snorkelling – the list goes on.

Tuesday 16th June 2015, Dublin: As an average of 11 people drown in Ireland every month, an appeal as part of Water Safety Awareness Week to promote learning from registered training providers BEFORE engaging in aquatic pursuits.  Various national bodies have combined forces to provide course details from a single website - www.safetyzone.ie - as the best way to enjoy Irish waters safely.
