NOMINATIONS AND MOTIONS TO BE CONSIDER FOR THE AGM MUST BE IN AT THE LATEST TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE AGM NOMINATIONS AND MOTIONS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

ALL MOTIONS AND NOMINATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING VIA EMAIL TO committee@tdu.ie

ALL NOMINATIONS AND MOTIONS MUST BE SECONDED IN WRITING BY A REGISTERED MEMBER OF THE TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT UNIT.

TDU VOTING IS:
ONE REGISTERED MEMBER, ONE VOTE. YOU MUST BE AT THE AGM TO VOTE
IT IS HOPED THAT THE TDU AGM WILL BE RUN IN CONJUNCTION WITH A NUMBER OF CPDS CURRENTLY THERE WILL BE AN RSR 3 CPD THAT WILL RUN OVER THE WEEKEND OF THE 8TH AND 9TH OF MARCH. THE DETAILS OF THE OTHER CPDS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE THE RSR 3 CPD WILL BE THE ONLY CPD RUN OVER TWO DAYS ALL THE REST WILL BE ONE DAY ON THE SATURDAY AND WILL FINISH IN TIME TO ACCOMMODATE THE RUNNING OF THE AGM.

POSITIONS FOR THE NEW COMMITTEE ARE AS FOLLOWS:

CHAIRPERSON
(over sees the running of the committee attends board meetings this will change after CI AGM chairs the meetings of TDU and delegates tasks to other officers where appropriate.

SECRETARY
(takes minuets for TDU committee meeting deals with and delegates correspondence to other officers of TDU where appropriate)

TREASURY
(looks after the accounts for the TDU)

PRO
(is tasked with promoting the TDU and its initiatives and communicating with the membership and putting together the news letter)

KAYAKING OFFICER
(deals with kayaking issues that fall under the remit of the TDU updates the awards and implements any changes to the awards scheme)

SEA KAYAKING OFFICER
(tasked with promoting and developing sea kayaking and updating and improving the sea kayaking award scheme)

CANOE OFFICER
(tasked with developing canoeing in deal with any canoe issues that fall under the remit if the TDU

CLUB LIAISON OFFICER
(deals with club issues that fall under the remit of the TDU)

ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER
(tasked with developing environmental policy and research document for the benefit of the TDU membership)

SAFETY OFFICER
(tasked with developing and updating the safety awards and running RSR CPDs on behalf of the TDU also responds to incidents and reports as deemed necessary by the TDU committee)

TDU BOARD MEMBER REP
(under the change in CI board structure as voted in, in 2013 the TDU will no longer be represented on the board by the chairperson of the TDU committee but will be represented by a person external to the committee but still a member of the TDU.)
