Ronan Foley of Kilcullen Canoe Club finished 1st in European Canoe Marathon Championships.
This follows on his magnificent double gold at the recent World Cup Marathon event in Portugal.
Ronan is now looking to the World Championships in September when he will face a strong challenge
Hungarian and South African paddlers. Congratulations to Ronan and Kilcullen Canoe Club.

Mens Junior K1 Race paddlers competed at 22,60 kilometres long course with six laps, four
portages and one small lap. Quite early in the race the trio from Ireland, Denmark and Hungary escaped
the rest of competitors and remained at front until the end of the race. Ronan Foley from Ireland
celebrated K1M Junior European Champion title, Thorbjorn Rask from Denmark was second and Vince
Petro from Hungary third.
