As I’m sure you all know the Liffey Descent will be on Saturday the 24th September 2016.   We are starting to rectruit rescue teams to cover the 13 weirs and rapids between Straffan and Island Bridge.

Rescue crews this year will get the usual benefits including t-shirt, food and event after party access.  I am delighted to inform you that we will be offering Liffey Descent Rescue Crews free RSR 2 training on the 10 & 11 September 2016.  The training will be based on the Liffey.

If you think you or someone you know might be able put together a rescue crew to cover one of the weirs at this year’s Liffey Descent we’d be delighted to hear from you.  We have a short form which you can fill out below to register your help and which will give us all the information we need to coordinate the rescue.  You can edit your answers at a later date so feel free to put in estimates for now and confirm them at a later date.

We will send RSR 2 application forms to registered rescue crews at the end of August and final rescue details in the week running up to the event.  We look forward to hearing from you.  Thanks in advance for your help and support.

We’d like to thank all those who have helped out in the past, the event would not be possible without your generous voluntary contribution for which we are all ever grateful.
