Summer Paddle Camps Level 1 Skills
These camps aim to give participants a memorable paddling experience in a fun and safe environment whilst giving a good foundation in paddlesport. Each camp will focus primarily on kayaking however camps may include using other craft such as canoes and sit on tops during the course. Camps will be over five days from Monday through to Friday . They are open to young people between the ages of 10 and 16 years of age and each camp is limited to a maximum of 12 places
Details
Camps will run in the mornings from 10.00 until 12.30.
Students will be supplied with all technical equipment needed such as a buoyancy aid or personal flotation device (PFD), helmet and cagoule or windproof jacket however as Kayaking is a wet sport there is a real possibility course participants will get wet during the sessions so each participant is advised to bring with them the following personal gear
- Towel
- Swimwear
- Thermal top or t-shirt
- Suitable footwear – bootees or an old pair of runners
- Sense of adventure and a smile
The Centre can supply wetsuits but in order to improve hygiene for all we would recommend that participants bring their own if they have one.
