For European Week of Sport (23rd-30th September), Canoeing Ireland in collaboration with Sport Ireland aims to promote sport and physical activity through paddle sports in counties all across Ireland.

There are a variety of paddling activities happening throughout the full European Week of Sport.
One of these activities is the #BEACTIVE PADDLE DAY on Saturday 26th September!

Canoeing Ireland affiliated clubs and Outdoor Education Centres in 30+ locations across 18 counties are participating in #BEACTIVE PADDLE DAY by hosting beginner sessions for the public in their area. There will be 47 sessions taking place across the country so a great chance for everyone to get out on the water.

This event aims to provide an opportunity for all to enjoy a paddling experience regardless of your age or ability. Our instructors and coaches will be able to facilitate an enjoyable session for you.
Canoeing Ireland would like to encourage those who are not regularly involved in sport to take part and enjoy a morning, or afternoon* of paddling!
Each session will last approximately 2 hours and will take place on flat water on either a river, canal, the sea or a lake.

To comply with Covid-19 Government Guidelines, no single Event Location will have more that 15 people attending at any given time – including your instructors/coaches. All attendees will have to fill out a Covid-19 declaration form 24 hours before the session to confirm that Covid-19 symptoms are not present and that contact with anyone who has tested positive during the previous two weeks has not happened.

Booking will open later this week so stay tuned.
