The Federation of Irish Sport, as the representative body for the National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs), Local sports Partnerships (LSPs), and other sporting bodies such as the Olympic Federation of Ireland, Paralympics Ireland, CARA and Ireland Active, has released a pre budget document detailing the need for further investment in sport from the government for the year 2021.

This involves ensuring that the 2021 budget will not suffer from the 70 million euro resilience fund awarded this year, providing great support to sporting activity on the island, and hold the government to their commitment to increasing funding to participation programmes for each year of the National Sports policy 2018 – 2027.
