We are once again seeing a rise in infection rates across the island of Ireland. As a result of this, the country has been placed back into Level 5 restrictions from the Living with COVID plan. We have once again updated our guidelines for paddlesport activities in line with the new government directives. While these new restrictions will see a halt to most paddling activity, we would ask our members to strictly adhere to the new guidelines and continue to do their part in reducing the spread of this virus.

The key guidelines for Level 5, including the new updates from the government are –

  • No group training. Individual training only within 5km from your home
  • No matches or events
  • The use of indoor facilities is not permitted
  • School age children may no longer travel outside their 5km limit for exercise

Please refrain from any paddling activity if you are awaiting results of a COVID test, or have have any associated symptoms. If you have symptoms please consult your Doctor.

If you require any further clarification on this document, or have any specific query on paddlesport activity around these restrictions, please contact Canoeing Ireland.
