The sunny weather over the weekend played host to the Div 3 and Open Canoe Slalom race at Ribontail Paddlers Canoe Club on a beautiful stretch of the Royal Canal in County Meath. As well as getting the Irish Canoe Slalom Academy out on the start line the event saw plenty of newcomers come and try out the exciting discipline of Canoe Slalom. After the morning of slalom racing the afternoon was dedicated to Kayak Cross, with all the competitors coming away with a smile on their face after some close fought head to head battles.
