It is with great regret that we must postpone CranaFest 2024. We have been liaising with Uisce Eireann to secure a dam release, but unfortunately, due to remedial works needed at the site, a commitment for a release is not possible this year.  We at Canoeing Ireland are extremely disappointed to postpone the event, but the difficult decision was made in the best interests of the participants and the future of the event.

The potential for CranaFest to be run in April 2025 is being explored, with Canoeing Ireland being dedicated to bringing this event back to the paddle sports calendar. We would like express our thanks to the paddle sports community for their support in the return of CranaFest, and a our sincere gratitude to the Harkin family in trusting us to bring this event back. We are committed to honouring the incredible contribution the events founder, Adrian Harkin, made to paddle sports before sadly losing his battle with Motor Neurone Disease.

For all those who have booked tickets for the event there are two options –

  1. Roll your entry over to next year. No action is required.
  2.  To receive a refund. Log into your booking /ticket and select ‘Manage My Booking’. Here you will be able to refund your ticket.

We will announce any updates on the event and the potential for a 2025 edition as soon as we. Stay tuned
