What is the Xcessible Award?
The Xcessible Award, developed by Active Disability Ireland, recognises sports organisations that actively promote accessibility and inclusion. This framework supports us in creating a welcoming environment for paddlers of all abilities.
What’s Involved in Achieving Silver?
Building on the Bronze Award, achieving Silver requires us to:
- Enhance policies and procedures to ensure sustainable inclusion practices.
- Implement training and education for staff, volunteers, and coaches.
- Strengthen partnerships with inclusion-focused organisations.
- Engage with individuals with disabilities in our sport to gain insights and improve accessibility
- Continue Developing programmes and initiatives for individuals with disabilities.
- Measure impact to continuously improve accessibility.
