Sport Ireland Anti-Doping will deliver an anti-doping education session for the paddle sport community on Saturday 21st February 2026 at 11am.
This session is designed for paddlers, coaches and parents, and will clearly outline athletes’ rights and responsibilities, the principles of clean sport, the anti-doping rules, and the practical realities of testing, medications and supplements. It will also highlight the shared role that coaches and parents play in supporting athletes to compete fairly and safely.
Attendance at this session is mandatory for all paddlers targeting international competition in 2026 and forms a key part of Canoeing Ireland’s commitment to education, integrity and athlete welfare. The session will also be strongly recommended for anyone supporting athletes on performance or development pathways, to ensure a consistent understanding of anti-doping obligations across the sport.
