With the entire country now being placed on Level 3 of the Living with COVID plan, we would like to refresh our members on the associated paddling guidelines. This move to Level 3 will have an impact on the kinds of paddling activity which can be undertaken in a safe manner so we hope our members and partners will continue to keep themselves and others safe by adhering to these sporting restrictions, and to government guidelines.
The key guidelines for participating in paddlesports at Level 3 are –
- No competition/events
- Outdoor training in pods of 15
- No travel outside your home county except for work or essential travel
- Individual use only of indoor facilities
For more detailed guidelines please read our full document of Level Guidelines for paddlesports –
Please refrain from any paddling activity if you are awaiting results of a COVID test, or have have any associated symptoms. If you have symptoms please consult your Doctor.
If you require any further clarification on this document, or have any specific query on paddlesport activity around these restrictions, please contact Canoeing Ireland.
