Canoeing Ireland are delighted to announce that Richard Lee will be contracted as a consultant for the new Performance Programme. Richard has extensive international performance experience and his appointment to the role comes at an exciting time within the development of Canoeing Ireland’s programme titled, Raising the Levels.
Speaking on the recent appointment, Canoeing Ireland’s Performance Director Jon Mackey said, “I’m really looking forward to having Richard involved in the roll out of our performance programme. Richard is no stranger to Irish paddle sport; he has worked actively within our slalom programme for many years and has become a trusted and valued member of the team. His previous roles within other performance programmes makes him the ideal candidate for this consultancy role, a role that will enhance the experiences of all Canoeing Ireland athletes as we start on our journey of programme development and roll out”
