Following on from the recent release of the Junior & U23 Canoe Sprint Competition Pathway (which can be found here), Canoeing Ireland are seeking expressions of interest from any Junior or U23 paddlers looking to take part in the assessment process. This pathway will be athlete centred, taking a pragmatic approach to the continuous assessment process and will be based on a calendar of key events.
This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in the high speed discipline of Canoe Sprint, and take on the challenge of head to head racing. Any interested paddlers should fill out the expression of interest form below with the relevant details and submit to sprintcoach@canoe.ie.
Canoeing Ireland will also be hosting an athletes information evening on Friday 24th February at 6pm for all Junior and U23 sprint paddlers. This session will have an entirely athlete centred ethos, aiming to inform the paddlers on the upcoming competition pathway and answer all questions they may have. To encourage the personal development of our young paddlers we are requesting only the athletes themselves are in attendance.
