The Canoeing Ireland Instructor Symposium is back at Gartan this November. Join us and Instructors from all over the country for a brilliant weekend of paddling, learning and meeting up with some of Ireland’s most experienced instructors. Collaborate, exchange ideas, learn from peers and explore our sport.
Along with a multitude of opportunities to exchange, network and listen, there will be four main workshops over the two days with a mix of dryland and water-based delivery:
- Assessments, Debriefing and Feedback – Shane McElligott
- Paddle Able Educate Disability program – Emer Carton
- 50 Ways to leave an Eddy (Coaching) – Stephen Hannon
- Observation and stroke analysis – Kevin ‘Geo’ O’Callaghan
The event welcomes all levels of instructors and all water environments/disciplines. And the Symposium carries 90 points on the upcoming CPD system.
For any questions relating to the Symposium please contact Canoeing Ireland Development Officer Steve Fahy development@canoe.ie
