‘Get Out on the Water’ is Canoeing Ireland’s invitation to people across Ireland to get out and discover the many benefits of paddle sports and the outdoors. This participation campaign is about showing that getting on the water is for everyone from experience paddlers to first timers who want to feel better, get active, and spend more time outdoors. With wellbeing at its core, the campaign highlights how paddling can support both physical and mental health while helping people reduce stress, build confidence, improve fitness, and enjoy the restorative benefits of being in nature.
Just as important as the activity itself is the sense of community that comes with it. Paddle sports create opportunities for people to connect, make friends, share experiences, and feel part of something positive. Our network of clubs are central to that journey. They provide the welcome, encouragement, and support that helps newcomers take their first step and gives them a place to return to again and again.
The success of ‘Get Out on the Water’ will rely on the shared effort of clubs, partners, and members across the country. By sharing the campaign, and encouraging others to give paddling a try, you can help spread the message far beyond Canoeing Ireland’s own channels. Every post, conversation, and invitation plays a part in raising awareness, bringing new people into the sport, and supporting the continued growth of clubs and paddling communities nationwide. Together, we can help more people experience the wellbeing, connection, and enjoyment that comes from getting out on the water.
Keep an eye on our social media channels and be sure to share the ‘Get Out on the Water’ posts and help us grow the paddling community.
