Róisín Cahill has won a silver medal for Ireland at the ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Championships. Held in Lanzarote, Spain, the World Championships offered up some very challenging conditions for competitors, with 3 meter swells and heavy tides off the Spanish coast. Róisín, a member of Clare Water Safety and Celbridge Paddlers Canoe Club, started Ocean Kayaking for Surf Lifesaving where she also competes at the top level, being a current European Silver medallist.
