We at Canoeing Ireland are extremely pleased to release our 2019 Annual Report. This report covers the excellent year of events, competitions, and performance results we have had. From the 60th Anniversary race of the Liffey Descent to qualifying 2 boats for the Tokyo Olympic Games, it has been a fantastic year. From an operational standpoint the 2019 Report also covers the development and growth the organisation of Canoeing Ireland has seen. An increase in staffing levels was seen, along with massive strides forward in inclusion with the Bridge the Gap programme being initiated to promote women in paddlesports.

Canoeing Ireland CEO, Moira Aston, commented, “I welcome the publication of the Canoeing Ireland Annual Report. 2019 was a very positive year for our Sport and the contents of the report give us an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate our achievements.”

We would like to extend a massive thank you to the board for their help and support both throughout the year and in the publication of this report.
